A lonely writer spends his nights and days in seclusion, drowning
his thoughts in a fantasy world of his own making. Adrift in make-believe,
he becomes astonished when his two worlds collide, granting his
creations a mind of their own. What can he do when pen and paper
rise up to mutiny?

The
Fanciful Farce of Finneus Flanagan is a delightful romp with a
simple, yet poignant theme. A hermetic writer's ficticious characters
come to life and wreak havoc upon him, though in this case "wreak
havoc" specifically means "run around an old building
to Irish music".
Production Notes: This
is one of those movies that was probably more fun to film than
it was
to watch, seeing as it consists primarily of a chase scene to copyrighted
music. Being one of our older films, this was done in the classic "Harris
runs back and forth with the camera and yells at us" style,
which is reasonably suited for a silent picture anyways.
