The Pepsi Machine Chronicles

An epic struggle between one man and a maniacal pair of Pepsi machine goblins. What will our hero do once he discovers that there is more to this vending machine than soft drinks and refrigerator coolant?? Marvel as cans are tossed, lives are lost, and fingers are crushed. You have to see it to believe it!

The Pepsi Machine Chronicles follows the life of one man and his struggle to purchase a drink without falling into the devious traps laid by two disgruntled Pepsi gnomes. Since its premiere, audiences have demanded that we create more films featuring our plucky villains, but shall we resurrect them? Only time will tell...

Production Notes: The special effects alone make this film worthwhile. Although you may think that Nick and Kevin are simply sticking their heads through a cardboard box, what we really did is use the technique of forced perspectives to give the illusion of tiny Pepsi men. A 23-foot-tall cardboard Pepsi machine was built in scale with the actors, who then wore inflated gloves to project the image of oversized hands. The total cost of production ended up somewhere around $700, including the specialized lense and actor doubles (giants and little people), which, in retrospect, may have been a bit of an overkill for a 3 minute sketch.
